Marina Babiy, MD

Marina Babiy

Dr. Babiy graduated from Brooklyn College, Summa Cum Laude and earned her medical degree at SUNY Brooklyn @ Downstate Medical Center. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Winthrop University Hospital. She received her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York Presbyterian Hospital in the combined program of Columbia and Cornell. Dr. Babiy is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is a Fellow Member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and an active member of the New York County Medical Society. She is an Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and teaches residents at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Dr. Babiy specializes in musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and sports medicine, as well as orthopedic rehabilitation and electrodiagnostics. Her primary focus is to provide the best possible care to her patients with compassion and understanding of their needs. She always tries to diagnose and timely treat all the underlying problems in order to achieve long lasting relief as quickly as possible. She believes in the importance of patient education about their condition and active patient participation in their treatment and recovery from injury. The emphasis is placed on conservative treatment.

Neal Mesnick, MD

Neal Mesnick

Neal A. Mesnick, M.D., M.A., FAAPMR is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, a member of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, a member of the American Medical Association and a member of the Medical Society of the state of New York. He is an attending physician at New York Presbyterian Medical Center and is on the faculty at Weill-Cornell Medical College where he is an Assistant Clinical Professor in Rehabilitation Medicine. He has published abstracts and has presented at national conferences.

Dr. Mesnick specializes in musculoskeletal injuries including neck and back pain, shoulder pain, knee and ankle pain. He believes in treating the patient as a whole in order to return them to full function.

Herschel Kotkes, MD

Herschel Kotkes

Dr. Kotkes' specialty is Interventional Pain management, which means that he uses painless and minimaly invasive techniques using very fine needles and a fluoroscope (live x-ray) to safely and accurately diagnose and treat spine related pain - back pain, neck pain , leg pain, arm pain related to bulging or herniated discs, sciatica, pinched nerves, radiculopathy, sacro-iliac joint pain, spinal stenosis, facet arthritis, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, post
laminectomy syndrome and vertebral compression fractures.

Dr. Kotkes performs radiofrequency ablation of median branch nerves (facets), transforaminal epidural steroid injections , spinal cord stimulator implantation, balloon kyphoplasty, discography, percutaneous discectomy, disc decompression, sympathetic blocks, Sacroilliac joint blocks and radiofrequency denervation.

Dr. Kotkes completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine and his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Pennsylvania Dr. Kotkes is board certified in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

David Manevitz, DO

David Manevitz

David D. Manevitz, D.O., M.P.H., M.S. is a physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the New York Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Manevitz treats a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, including, but not limited to, neck, shoulder, back, hip, knee and ankle pain. His approach to treatment is one that looks at the whole person and not just their symptoms.

Dr. Manevitz believes in an integrated approach to patient care. He performs a complete history and physical examination with each patient, and will order diagnostic tests when necessary to devise the best treatment plan. He will prescribe medication and perform joint or trigger point injections, if indicated, to alleviate your pain. Dr. Manevitz will also oversee that a proper physical therapy program is in place for each of his patients. He works closely with other licensed professionals at Infinity Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation to ensure that his patients receive the best possible care.

Michael A Minardo, DC

Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians.
Dr. Minardo is a 1985 honors graduate of New York Chiropractic College. He earned his Diplomate from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians in 1996. He routinely works with athletes and is a published author in the Journal of Sports Chiropractic and Rehabilitation.

In the past, Dr. Minardo was a member of the senior medical staff of the New York Road Runners Club and helped with their racing program throughout the year, including the New York City Marathon. He is also the team chiropractor for the Staten Island Yankees, the Single A affiliate of the New York Yankees. Dr. Minardo was in private practice in Staten Island, NY for 18 years. During that time he integrated the practice of spinal manipulation with physical medicine and physical therapy to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to various musculoskeletal conditions, such as neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain and knee pain.

From 2004 through 2006 he joined the Continuum Center for Health and Healing, an integrative medical practice credentialed through Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan. During that time, in addition to chiropractic practice, he was a faculty member involved in teaching medical residents and fellows who were training in integrative medicine.
In 2005 Dr. Minardo joined the practical examination writing committee of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians.

Now at Infinity Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Minardo will join our multi-disciplinary team and add his 20 years of expertise to helping those with musculoskeletal injuries return to vital health.

Stephen Kim, PT

Stephen Kim

Stephen Kim joined Infinity Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation as director of physical therapy in 2006. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Ulster in Belfast, N. Ireland, in 1999. Since then, he has gained extensive clinical experience at one of New York's leading trauma centers, Bellevue Hospital, where he served as senior physical therapist. Through his work experiences in outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation as well as acute care, he has treated a wide spectrum of disorders. He is particularly interested in orthopedic cases, sports injuries and lumbar spine disorders. Stephen approaches each case from a holistic perspective, effectively addressing the underlying dysfunction while at the same time caring for each patient as a unique individual. He aims to help patients return to their previous level of function as quickly as possible and educates them to minimize the occurrence of future injury.

Irina Qureshi, DPT

Irina Qureshi

Dr. Qureshi graduated from New York Medical College in 2005 with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. She is dedicated to return her patients to their maximum level of physical performance. She is passionate about treating patients with orthopedic and sports related injuries. Irina also holds a bachelor’s degree in athletic training.

“My philosophy is that every patient is unique and requires specific care using a variety of treatments and professionals. I am happy to be able to bring my knowledge and expertise to Infinity Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Our team effort will help most patients feel better.”
Irina’s goal is to return each patient to their level of functional activity before injury, to improve stamina and strengthen muscles to prevent reoccurrence of problems.
